Queensland Premier Anna Bligh & Education and Training Minister Geoff Wilson officially opened the new Stretton Kindergarten service as part of a state-wide commitment to accessible early childhood learning.

Ms Bligh said this kindergarten was part of the Queensland Government's $321 million election commitment to deliver 240 new kindergarten services throughout the state.

The new kindergarten at Stretton is located adjacent to Stretton State College allowing parents to have all their children in the one location. The facility will cater for up to 44 kindy-age children, offering programs delivered by a university-qualified early childhood teacher for 15 hours a week for 40 weeks in the year prior to Prep.

Parents who wish to enrol their children at the new Stretton Kindergarten or any of the new services should contact C & K Pre-schooling Professionals either at waitinglist@candk.asn.au or by calling
